This excites me.

Yongzh better update soon.

Also, CRUALFOXHOUND, just curious, do you know if i have to pay for N64oid a 3rd time when the update is released?

Okay i have been following Paul's forum since it barely opened and nowhere did he say he was trashing n64oid at all, he just said that his version is going to be superior to yongzh he said that POSSIBLY this weekend beta releases are going to be uploaded, but i doubt it.

Crualfoxhound how does n64oid run on older snapdragon processors (the hd2, nexus one, and other similar processors) any response would be nice thanks for all the updates crualfoxhound ^.^

another request: could it be possible, when playing in landscape, to have the possibility to habe the screen upside down?

I mean, my volumes buttons are at the bottom, if I had the game displayed the other way, they would be at the top, so very usable as a L shoulder buttons, and that would be really nice for me to set Z trigger up there, for example playing goldeneye this way would be great to shoot!

My bad I forgot it only works on 2.3 and up.
yongzh got a fix for that
so I imagine it be added for older versions.

Catch ya later..

MY bad, I didn't check this option since I've stopped playing N64oid on the HD2 Froyo for my Sensation Gingerbread ^^

I really dont think Pauls alpha N64 emulator will be as fast and realiable as N64oid, because its only a prototype. I think Im going to hold hopes to Yonghz for getting this update first. Who know's Paul may pull a rabbit out of a hat in the last moments. My guess is that Paul will have alot of catching up to do but lets see who wins the race :-0

I would admit though that if Yonghz had have kept his fans up to date like Paul has with only a handful then his reputation would have not been slandered so much. I think this update though because of his efforts will amend those mistakes, At the same time if a Dev is on the forum all the time then nothing will get done.

Maybe Paul´s emulator is better? Look at Fpse and psx4droid. In the first version fpse had a much better performance than psx4droid which was on a much higher version.

Right I've been playing Zelda OOT on my new Samsung Galaxy S2 and I am most impressed with this phones ability to run N64oid, I've tried to play Zelda but I get intermitant crashing in the levels, the forest tree map mostly so far. For instance when you jump down from a high ledge and crash into the web at the bottom in the 1st Tree level, I hear a faint cry and Bam then the thing crashes. Im wondering if these are sound related or perhaps the memory corruption issue is causing it. Also it tends to happen when you kill the venus fly trap plants and collect a new item from them, also going into the shop does it.

Can't wait to be able to play this game once the bugs are fixed.

So far the performance in Zelda with the S2 is ok due to the speed of the phones graphics chip but needs alot of tweaking, with slight sound hiccups and major graphical tearing, and occasional unusual slow downs but I dont have the menu issue I had with the HD2.

What's everyone else's experience like?

@Tinman

The crashes are less on Zelda o.o.t using the new gfx core
and the memory corruption could off helped it out aswell.

About graphic differences.
It all depends on your gpu chip.
We noticed powervr sgx450 and tegra 2
are ok still bugs though.

But adreno gpu have been a pain in the ass to work with
that's why its taken this long to fix.
But adreno fixes should fix other gpu bugs aswell.

Catch ya later...

I can confirm N64oid really works well with a powervr GPU (meaning the existing version of course) since it's almost as fast on my motorola Defy and my Sensation, despite the defy has a crappy Omap 800mhz CPU (overclocked to 1200mhz but still an Omap!)
