Because it has new features accessible only using those skins..

For QVGA you can use new Q-Ball's skin found here
As for VGA, I started to work on a skin, but I'm progressing very slowly (these are my first steps in photoshop afterall )

This is how menu1 looks at the moment, but I am not satisfied with the graphics. I'll try to do some nicer buttons and probably redesign the upper pannel...

Hey Cim, nice job with the conversion. Looks great. I agree about the images used, but i can personally change a bunch of those (most even possibly), once a good base is there to use FOR it, then images can be changed after all finger function button's are there, full menu's (design and position's) are finished, and organized. I personally waited myself, as i was about to start on the one that we talked about before, then SINCE, a few newer and much better arranged skins came out that looked much better with
the arrangement of button's and layout.\
Now i figure it might be better to just wait (me that is) until things/beta's are done for anything that's been coming out, using the best designed one, and THEN i can redo the graphic's to look MUCH better. And of course giving proper credit to the person making the base/layout that will be used. Credit is always 1st with me.

just tried v1.51 skin @ VGA & QVGA, all is well..

P.s. a suggestion, how about in VGA version the change CD button replaced other more frequently used button, because i don't think we'll be pressing that button frequently. a Minimize button will be more useful

@djdafreund: yes, it's really a problem squeezing new buttons in existing layout. I started by rearanging amirdt's skin, but eventually started to play with changing graphics which apparently headed in the wrong direction You should do the graphics regardless of other's designs. We can fix ini files afterwards, it's not a big problem.
@b0z0k: thx, you should also check out Q-Balls version of skin. Yes, I already realised that big eject button isn't of much use, and the current position of minimize button is completely bad. I thought about putting it in place of eject button and move eject button in square between rotate buttons.

Yeah, i can do that. Also, it sounds like a good idea about your thought's about swapping the minimize button, and moving the eject. That should work fine i think.

i don't know if this is skin related or the new supporters version, but i can't set the multi-keys. i've been using 1-4 for the directions (up left, up right etc) i set them up and go back to the game and whatever i set the multikey to say down + left my character is stuck running in that direction??

I'm not sure about multitouch (must test it). Did you maybe set them as sticky buttons?
