Can i lock a button so i dont have to keep pressing?

Postby iindio50 » Sun Jan 17, 2010 1:59 pm

can i lock a button so that it stays pressed durring gameplay,,, ive noticed that i gain an extra 4 or 5 fps if im only pressing 1 button at a time instead of two , so a game like gran turismo runs much smoother if i only have to use direction pad and occasionally brake, with gas always pressed,, anyone know how to do this???

You can do it with on-screen controls quite easily. You just need to go into the on-screen controller config menu and change the button type with the "mode" button. If it's set to "sticky", you should see an arrow pointing at a button. It's hard to explain, but take a look at this image to see what I mean.
