 [SKINS] xmfreak's TouchFriendly Skin (WQVGA&WVGA)
EDIT: PSD files uploaded due to a petition.NEWS (06/01/2010): Already finished and available for download! : )NOTE: I decided to adapt it for WVGA. Keep in mind this was originally made for a QWVGA screen (240x210) so the quality is not going to be the best. But, after all, it's still working pretty well. I've been using an Xperia for WVGA test. It looked pretty well but I don't know how is it going to look on devices with larger screens. Changes for both resolutions: - New design for all menus - Some buttons deleted due to space reasons - Fixed most buttons. Now everything works correctly. - Touch-friendly new buttons (no need of stylus anymore!) WHAT'S LEFT: - Need to fix L3 and R3 from Analog config menu (menu9) - Need to fix CD button on on-screen mapping menu (menu10) Some (outdated) Screencaps: You can grab the files here: WQVGA (240x210): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GYPXEI92WVGA: (480x420): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OQ1VUQ1HPSD Files for WQVGA version uploaded: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7GKOXMR5Feel free to use it as you wish _xmfreak_---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UpdateV.: 2010-09-18 Notes: -Added Menu14 V.: 2010-08-26 Notes: -Changed Font.bmp for MENU11&12. -fixed pad switch button for WQVGA. V.: 2010-06-21 Notes: -Added pad switch button to Menu5&8. V.: 2010-05-03 Notes: -Added Portrait Pad (Pad Graphics by cyber-junkie), New GSensor and Setting's Menu's -some small changes -WVGA is an up-scaled QWVGA version (including new Menu's) Recent Screencaps: Thanks to xmfreak for sharing his work and workfiles.hope you like it, enjoy. Please report any bugs you find. -T.S.

Why just for that small resolution? think of touch diamond, touch pro, xperia, touch hd, etc... perhaps you could do it for every actual resulotion and/or make a small tutorial how users could create their own skins. Perhaps Schtruck is able to create the skins automatically by graphics and screen-resolution... that you could create gfx and a placement-map-file and next FPSE will place the buttons automatically for each resolution...

Yeah. Already did. I uploaded a screenshot of the new design which is a lot more functional Cysign wrote: xmfreak wrote: EDIT: Almost forgot. I'm just working with 240x210 res skin. First: I use an Omnia. Second: It's really difficult to place touch area and buttons. I'ts just a matter of coordinates, but if you don't place a pixel where it should be you can mess it all up. Third: Skins cannot be done automattically. PS: If you are that desperate, just do it by yourself. If not, just wait. PPS: Message edited.

Re: [WIP] New Skin for fpsece
couldn't you just use photoshop to read out coordinates and calculate you own coordinates by this? can't see where the problem should be... or are you just using "trail&error"-method?

I was thinking about it, but now I don't think I'm going to do it. You can thank Cysign for it. That's just what I'm doing, but not all buttons work the same way. PS: Message edited.

Nice skin man. Just ignore people who whine and moan at you. You only need to worry about your own device, but if you decide to adapt your work for others, then that's great too.
