What about with those of us running Adreno 320/330?

Having issues with FF IX using OpenGL.

The game slows down in scenes with lots of NPCs. And the sound is extremely choppy from the very beginning. Music and sound effects.

Running Android 5.0.1 on HTC M8

Video Settings:
Frameskip
Force Lanscape Orientation
Offscreen Drawing
Alpha Multipass
32Bits Rendering
Anti Aliasing

Sound Settings:
SpuSync

System settings:
Fast CD ROM read

I have not done any sort of GPU driver update to my system. Not sure how to do that with my M8. Any suggestions on how to get this game working correctly? It worked great on my S3.

if it's like the Nexus 6, the driver from Qualcomm was really bugged on Android 5.0 to 5.0.2 and they finally fixed it on Adreno 5.1, it's now very fast.

So I just have to wait and see if HTC updates from 5.0.1 to 5.1?

maybe, send me an email with a savestate where we can compare FPS, like that we'll know if it's driver problem or plugin problem

OK, there's the savestate. For the record, print fps claims my fps didn't drop below 55. It usually hovers between 57-60.

The sound in the .bik/.smk in game videos is awful. I've tried playing with the latency settings (went up to 400 and down to 50) but it didn't help. The sound in gameplay isn't as badly distorted. Except for the cursor selection beep. It crackles the speakers every time. The swirling animation when entering into battle is also absent. Just a black screen. But the game video rendering is great. Perfect detail for in battle and in walkthru.
