Yeah I noticed that sound lag too...at first I thought it was some kind of glitch in the rom I was using,, but now that you mention it, it's everywhere ,,,,

Try to change sound latency. On xplay with android 2.3 if you want to reduce this you need to play with this feature.

What do you think might be a good latency value for newer devices such as my HTC One Max?

About the release I just detected a problem with nvidia gpu . I fix it then will push new version of fpse to everybody.

Sound latency depend of the android version but of the device too.

I don t have a htc one max so can t say.

On my note 3 800. The default latency is very good

I was hoping for insight on how much to change the number and if more or less might be desirable. A likely range?

On my XperiaPlay the default value is 9600... I can't tell if there's a diference if I turn that option on or off... but setting this value to 20,000 made the music sound with echo, and setting it below 500 didn't make a diference, other than it made FPSE crash...

Can't wait for the UPDATE! YAY!

My tablet (Asus Transformer tf300) uses the same number...
Well, after some tries I don't really hear any difference between On and Off... and I noticed that not all games have the same ammount of lag, so maybe it's the rom/game itself, after all.... minor issue, it doesn't affect the gameplay or balance in any game...

But if you want to try, Castlevania SOTN was the game with the most sound lag, in my opinion...

I just tried many different numbers from 1024 to 9600 and I heard no change other than the sound repeating/popping at higher values.

I just re-tried many games including SOTN and this delay in the sound does seem universal.

Latency (lag) is mostly unoticeable on my note 3. But it depend of the game.after it s mostly relative to sync problem with streaming.

I finally found the l2/r2 problem with some external pad which after somes times start to not works.

And I fixed the light bug with nvidoa and the new opengl.

I plan to propose many new special virtual buttons to make fpse user life better but perhaps not for the next version
