Can't get it going- need some help [q]

I bought this app recently- I have used emulators for years of various types. However, I can't get it working: and wanted to see if there was something I was missing.

These are the steps I have taken:

1. Bought app
2. Downloaded the .bin file
3. I placed the .bin file and a game (FF8) on my Asus transformer Prime. Its in MDF format
4. Launched the app, told it where to find the bin file, and then loaded the disc 1 to my game.
5. It loads the Sony logo screen and plays music, and then just sits there frozen.

So what gives? There are so many options, that I can't trouble shoot this without spending all day and night trying each one and every combination.

Remember - FPSE does not promote obtaining games you don't own, and definately doesn't support it.

As frenchaddict said, poor quaility game images are a common problem.

I own the game, and a PSone console, I'm not asking for help being a pirate, I want the app to work as intended.

I just want to know what magic I need to be using to get this program to work correctly.

I'm trying to get Final Fantasy VIII to run. I've got tons of Roms from back in the day when I used to play them on my psp. I am using Roms that work when I use other emulators on my windows pc or on my psp.
The bios I have Appear to work. I can load it and launch it.
When I load the game it loads the white ps screen . it then loads a black screen with a Sony logo and freezes. I am using default settings, I don't know what else to give you.

I went back and found an old portable HD with an Eboot version of it. I got it playing with that. However, I did test and could play the other ROM with 2 different other emulators, on other OS.

Now, If anyone can suggest what I can do to tweak it to make it look the best/play the best, please chime in.

Can you get other games to work ok? Is it only FF8 that has problems? As french addict said, bad rooms are usually what cause the problem you describe.

What is an 'external HD with eboot'? Did you get ff8 to work on Android?

Frenchaddict - are you positive you play ff8 in opengl? Ff8 has known serious issues with opengl. Specifically, the 'battle swirl' takes 8 to 10 before battles will load. I agree, opengl makes the game A LOT better (amazing), but battle loads are just too slow.
