Metal Gear Solid major slowdowns

Hey all, I searched around the Web for solutions to this and found nothing, but I did find this site :)

So, I'm playing through MGS, and the majority of the game has run flawlessly, I'm on the second disk now working on the PAL card. My only issues this far have been drops in fps from typically around 60, to around 5-10. This has happened any time someone is cloaked, like Ottocon or the enemies in the elevator, and the most recent has been going up and down on the big elevator with the moving background, before the area where you fight Raven.

So, I'm just checking to see if others are experiencing this, or possibly know of a setting that might remedy this. It's certainly not the end of the world and everything else works great.

are you playing in OpenGL?

Certainly. Opengl looks amazing, and it runs at 60 fps every other time. No other issues to report.

This major slowdown is due to a video option set that seems to use much memory on mali gpu s. On nexus 7 or snapdragon s4 pro there is no slowdown here

My note has the 1.5 scorpion dual core cpu, and the adrenaline 220 gpu. Is there possibly a setting I should or shouldn't set? Thanks for the reply.
