Zeemote and analog stick - 03.02.13 - ALMOST 100% working :)

Postby barat » Mon Jan 28, 2013 6:25 pm

Hello,

I just bought fpse becouse i've read this on google play:

Full Support for IcontrolPAD, BGP100,Zeemote (via Bluez IME)

When I try to setup Zeemote as hardware controller - there is no such option ... only IPAD, BGP100 and Other ...
When I use Other - no analog I think - works like digital ...
Checked on Crash Bandicoot 3 where left analog stick will do walk/run depends on angle (?) from the center of the stick...

If You write that there is full support for Zeemote - it should be ... maybe I'm doing something wrong?

What i'm trying to get:
  • Have Zeemote analog works as Left analog stick
  • Have Zeemote hardware buttons work as some kind of buttons (dunno which yet, but I think that not the standard "shapes" - maybe some L/R)
  • Have rest of buttons work on screen (because Zeemote has only 4)

BTW. Analog is working 100% -downloaded this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... 3RhcnQiXQ..
On demo/test stick is 100% analog, so it's not hardware problem and it's 100% possible on android ...

EDIT:
Checked N64oid - analog works flawlesly OOTB ... just select and use - on screen buttons works too ... Why it can't be so nice on fpse?

Used - but I have to do something wrong because I cant make analog to work ... joystick works - but directions are 100% digital - just 0 or 1 ... maybe some tip how to make that this analogue stick can act like real analogue?

When I try to select hardware controller I can select IPAD, BGP100 and Other - no Zeemote, no Bluez IME ... only other ...

Wierd thing is that on such emu line N64oid I could make it work in ... 10sec - just selected Zeemote (it is working via BLUEZ IME too)

Give me some tips what can be done - i'll check it and maybe my post will be usefull for others ;)

OK.

New facts and what I've done.

I deleted all FPSE data via Settings/Application ...
Then i fired FPSE and configured only OpenGL plugin and bios files.
Then i've quit FPSE.
Next - i activated Bluetooth and didn't change anything in input method (it's SWYPE)

Again I started FPSE and I saw "Connected to Zeemote" on screen. Started Crash Bandicoot 3 and chosed gamepad as Analog + in game I've switched pad view to analog (^xo[] replaced by right analog) and then again to see ^XO[] - analog still works.

Now I have to try to remap ABCD buttons on Zeemote to L1 L2 L3 L4 and use ^XO[] on screen.

There is one thing which make that I can't.

For example (I explain it on crash bandicoot 3) whe i Move forward (hold analog stick UP) and press A on zeemote (X - jump) crash is jumping and then after jump - he still run.
When i press Analog stick up and press X on screen crash is jumping forward but then he stops even that my analog stick is still UP.
Next example - when I press C button on Zeemote (O - crouch) and holding I press A button (X - jump) Crash jumps and then he is back in crouch position.
When I press this same C button and hold it, and then press On screen X - Crash jumps and then he wont crouch again but he just stands (even that C button is still pressed)
It's like on screen buttons are canceling Zeemote press.
Hope that's clear what i've wrote.

Can You check it why it's happening?

EDIT:
Did some more research. After upgrading to new FPSE version options like Run + Jump doesn't cancel running -that's great!
Option crouch (O) on screen + jump on zeemote = everything ok - crash ic back in coutch, but it doesn't work oposite (crouch on zeemte and jump on screen like said before).

Next thing is that I must use ABCD Zeemote buttons as ^XO[] - I cant map it to L1-R2 because ABCD buttons doesn't act as hardware buttons in FPSE (i don't change input method in android to Bluez IME). Is there some kind of config file, where I can change those buttons?
