Cue/Bin roms problem - lack of music - .ape files.

Postby Skan » Thu Jan 24, 2013 7:20 pm

Hey guys,
I bought FPse for android few days ago, and it works flawlessly most of time. The only problem I have is when ROM contain cue/bin and files with audio track files in .ape format. If I launch the game with main .bin file, music is missing. When I use .cue file, that "lead the soft" to .ape files, I only have random noise where there should be music. Files with soundtrack are OK - my android music player can play them without a problem, so I guess there is something wrong with FPse (lack of codecs?), but I can't find a fix for this and games affected by lack of music are pretty much worthless for me. Is there anything to make it work? Or is it just a flaw of FPse and I have to deal with it?

Things I already tried:
Converting files to mp3
Converting files to wav
Changing file formats to .bin
(and changing cue file with above)
Messing with audio options.

There is a tool to uncompress ae files to raw. Then after you need to change manually the cue file to type well the the new audio filenames.
