Convert savestates (.mcr -> .mcd)

Postby bigtfatty » Sun Dec 23, 2012 10:06 am

So I used to use EPSXe for my android awhile back and got pretty far on FF8 and FF9. Now that I'm using FPSe, I would really like to pick up where I left off. Does anyone know if/how I can convert the savestates so that my new emulator can read them?

Ok well that sorta worked but didn't. I was able to change the mem card info as .mcd using the tool and also able to point Fpse to recognize the .mcd as the mem card for slot 1.

BUT, when I start a game and try to load a game from the mec card, none of the games recognize any data/saved games. I feel like I'm close and I might just be missing something - it would really help out 40+ hrs into FF7, ~30hrs into FF8, ~10hrs into FF9.

I'm not talking about savestates, but "ingame" saved games on the mem card file from the Epsx. I used the PSXmemtool to change the file to something Fpse recognizes, and I changed the settings to point to that file as the mem card, but when i play the game, it still doesn't work.
