How to slow down a game

Postby stildawn » Sun Dec 16, 2012 10:57 am

Hiall

I just purchased fpse for my S3. I've put NBA hang time on it and the img loads and runs fine. However the gameplay is super fast much faster than it should be, so I'm wondering is there any way to slow the CPU speed or something down so the game doesn't play so fast?

I am fairly sure it a cpu speed issue as I have played other old games using dosbox on my PC and they sometimes play fast due to the massively overpowered CPU on a new computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and good work devs on an awesome program.

Cheers

Does anyone have any advice for this issue?

I read around a bit and thought the framelimiter would help, but I loaded up the game and it was already on by default, I messed around turning it on and off and there was no change, it still plays fast as hell.

Sorry but I only got FPSE a day or so ago so I have no experience in using it at all.

Cheers

Um I used the print fps option and it said 60. In one of the other options I think it's called framelimiter tunning i tried to set it to 30fps but don't think it worked.

Also a side question how do you veterans handle the right/left buttons etc is there an easier way? Or perhaps a way to map multiple keys together in one of the standard buttons?

For example in NBA hangtime you often need to push turbo and steal or turbo and shoot at the same time, but it seems with dose that even if you put your thumb over both circle and triangle at the same time it doesn't push both.

It feels fast, like its not twice as fast or anything but something like 1.5x its quite noticable though its almost impossible to play at the speed it is. Is there no way to get that framelimiter tunning to work? As that had lots of fps options and I'm sure I would like one of them.

Sorry to be so useless, but can you point me to anywhere where I can learn about setting up the multi buttons etc.

Ok will try that.

Um I tried the multi thing, when I touch multi1 it says "push a key" etc however I want to put the multi onto triangle or square or something, but it wont let me I've got it working on one of my volume buttons though.
