Nenamark2 I get 25.9fps

Really, Nenamark 2 seems to be THE bench that really matches Fpse openGL performances

that's what I had with my Gingerbread ROM, just slightly more than you,a bout 28fps for Nenamark 2 => 26 fps at Tekken3, openGL, NO frameskip

Then with Ice Cream Sandwich=> 42 fps at Nenamark2=> 38 fps at Tekken3, OpenGL, NO frameskip

Maybe you should try another ROM? I mean, for your device, your Nenamark2 score is really low (but you may have huge scores on other bench and a damn fast UI ! ) so your GPU use doesn't seem to be optimized with your ROM (but maybe your software use is)

My UI is usually smooth with 3 homescreens a 1080p uncropped image for each through a live wallpaper and about 8 decent size widgets.

Dungeon defenders on survival mode while listening to poweramp no lag and no re-draw when i hit home.

So does fpse need some optimizing still or do i need this ics update thats supposed to be coming this month more than anything else??

Okey, I haven't got any luck making open graphics library plugin work on my galaxy note. I'm just gonna do a quick recap of the problem so that someone hopefully might notice and help.

So I bought fpse on app market and was honestly kinda expecting some support if I ran into problems. Currently opengl doesn't work with the bios and the plugin at once only in hle mode (w/o bios). Software rendering works perfectly and that's how get by. I'm seeing these videos on people online playing tekken 3 and FF WITH opengl. So I know for a FACT that it CAN work. I tried to install chainfire and use it's nvidia plugin but that apparently doesn't play well with fpse and when I searched google and wound up in this thread again. :(

Speaking of which the moderators of this forum really really really have to get it organized / moderated. You can't have everything in one thread, unless you want to answer the same questions over and over and over... speaking as a ex forum moderator.

I downloaded the plugin from the following post:
viewtopic.php?p=24904#p24904

The game starts fine, but then in the "intro" scene just when the train appears it hangs.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

The game works fine without the openGl plugin!
Thanks!!

You have had better luck than me at least, I can't even start the game. Everything is just black and then it asks for a new disc after about 5 seconds.

Yes it works fine without the plugin, but should also work with the plugin!

3 u be in opengl mode run tekken 3 to the first fight.
4 in setting/mist select bios
5 eject tekken 3 and select different game.

58fps......with frameskip OFF and openGL ????????

Yeep, opengl mode 55-59 fps without frameskip, without boost, very smooth and a bit too fast for me , constant 50 should be fine, I must download pal tekken 3 or wait for manual framerate adjust.

Strange since people with the same device and same ROM as yours get it working.

Have you tried downloading the plugin again? What size is your plugin? ( to know whether it is the first or the second version Schtruck put online)

The plugin is the one I downloaded from the first page on this thread its 325 KBs. As I try to start the game it goes black and then stays like that for 5 seconds then it asks for a new disc. It works well in hle mode though so it could have something to do with the bios i guess. Following the fix provided by schtruk for tekken 3 on mali-400 cards it works but that's just hle mode.

@ asmodeus

No but in opengl mode.
You need to make new savestates.
So in soft mode backup all your progress to memorycards first.

Then in opengl mode load the selected game off memorycard and make a
New save state. For some reasion
Soft and opengl aint compatibile with savestates.

Catch ya later..

In opengl mode to remove bios.
In setting/misc load bios-press the hw right back button.
And quite then restart. U be in opengl with none bios selected.

Schtruck did you find what enables opengl mode (in tekken 3, harvest moon: btn) on mali400 ?
