Hardware keys for PAD2 does not work

Postby antevir » Thu May 26, 2011 3:01 pm

If you go to the Hardware keys settings and configure keys for PAD2, FPse will sense the keys and successfully bind them. However, when I start a game (in this case Mortal Kombat Trilogy) and try pressing the keys for PAD2 something goes wrong. The game seems to register when a key is pressed down, but not when it is released. Hence, when you have pressed a couple of buttons nothing more happens, since the game thinks all buttons are pressed.

I am using FPse 0.10.48

I suppose you're using wiiremote and 2 wii remote controllers? I'm having exactly the same problem! I've mapped the hardware keys in PAD2, but the PAD2 never worked properly.

Noone else is having this problem? is it hardware specific? I'm using an Archos 101. Anyone else manage to get the PAD2 hardware keys mapping work?

since i transtlated the xml's of fpse, i found this:
- <PreferenceScreen xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
- <PreferenceCategory android:title="PAD1 assignement.">
<ListPreference android:entries="@array/pad1" android:entryValues="@array/pad1" android:key="Pad1" android:title="Enable hardware keys for PAD1" android:summary="PAD1 enabled" />
...
- <PreferenceCategory android:title="PAD2 assignement.">
<ListPreference android:entries="@array/pad2" android:entryValues="@array/pad2" android:key="Pad2" android:title="Enable hardware keys for PAD2" android:summary="PAD2 disabled" />
...
</PreferenceCategory>
</PreferenceScreen>

maybe thats the problem?

i confirm that pad2 for Hardware button assigning is not working corrrectly. When in game the character goes crazy.
There are 2 options to assign up button. (one can only be assigned).
Some buttons cant be assigned. Example L3 and R3 .

This was tested on EVo 4g with Pad 2 Enabled

So happy to find out this is fixed in the 0.10.57 version! I can now use 2 wii remotes for player 1 and player 2, wonderful! Thank you so much!
