Just to let you guys know, saving to the memory card works fine in MGS for me. Only when I try to use Fpse's save system i experience crashes and no sound.

Also after clearing the data as I was instructed to fix the overlays I noticed significant speed increase in landscape mode.

To get full gameplay speed in MGS I had to over clock my droid to 1.0 Ghz

Hope this helps some people, keep up the good work Schtruck!

only got a few issues left with the games im using..
Metal Gear Solid - save states (no sound and hangs after entering a new scene)

Ace Combat 3 - texture tearing

Final Fantasy VIII - grey cutscenes after loading from savestate

Gran Turismo 2 - After loading save state half the screen is corrupted until you move onto next screen and it changes resolution.

... and a problem that i know is being sorted, the drawing of pad overlay errors.

keep up the good work...

@gormie84

With Ace Combat 3, the texture tearing problems occurs with the landscape. This was also an issue with FpseCE.

With your GT2 problems, do you let the game get to the main menu before loading a state? Or do you load a state immediately after starting the game? If it is the former, just try waiting until the game gets to the main menu, then load a state.

Similar things happened with Resident Evil using FpseCE.

didnt know that ac3 had those same problems with fpece as well...

as with gt2 i have tried loading from the menus its ok when loading another menu in the same res eg just before you enter a race but if you load the state from any other menu or in game the corruption occours..

e.g if i was to load a save state from the menu into a race ive used a savestate on half the screen is corrupted but the full image is squashed up into half the space but if i exit and restart the race it clears it

I'll try that out myself see if I get the same results.

Edit:

Yes I got the same result, there is nothing I could do to avoid it. Not much help I know.

I'm still getting Force Closes. Rarely, but still there. This time with Digimon World 2003.

Anyway, great work, these FC are very rarely now :)

I find GT2 works better without SPUSync. And in portait sound seems fine to me, landscape the sound slows down quite a bit.

Yes, it works best, although in some menus a little stuttering, it is curious that in an early version, maybe 10.2 or something, spusync worked very well without any problem of stuttering in gt2

for the moment, disable spusync is much better
