Problem config. Two Sixaxis Controller together

Postby WilMach » Sat Sep 01, 2012 5:13 am

Hi. First I want say I bought this aplication and it's excelent !

Second, here is my problem (excuse my poor english):

Notes:
-I use the Sixaxis Controller aplication in order to pair the dualshock 3.
-I have played perfectly in FPse when use only a (1) sixaxis controller (Gamepad 1 or Gamepad 2).
-I have a PS3 and the two gamepads work fine.

I did the next steps:

1-Pair the controllers with custom MAC of my Galaxy S2 bluetooth: OK (The two controllers are detected).
2-I open the FPse aplication and I configure my controllers in the main: GAMEPAD --> Assign HW buttons (I assign the keys for Pad 1 and for Pad 2 respectively).
3-I load the ISO and the 2 controllers are detected into game, but the problem is that both are the "Player 1" (Player 2 Not detected in-game).

I need your help with this issue.

Thank a lot !

there are a lot of threads about the six-axis controllers. There was one a while ago that said the socond controller could be made to work by setting it up as a keyboard and mapping keys. I don't really understand that too well because I don't have a sixaxis controller.

"Play FPse with two controllers for two players sixaxis game

Postby WilMach » Mon Sep 03, 2012 1:07 am

Thanks for your help !

I was trying and finally found the solution (trial and error):

SIXAXIS CONTROLLER APPLICATION CONFIG:

1-Go to Gamepad Settings-->Enable Gamepad = Disabled (very important)
2-Go to Keyboard Emulation-->Key Mappings
3-Creation of Gamepad profiles:

Note:
I edited default config but the important is assign different keys for for each profile.

3.1-GAMEPAD # 1 - Name "My Profile 1":
Option 1st Controller-->Edit Mappings

Left: V
Right: M
Up: G
Down: B
Select: BACK
Power: HOME
Start: DPAD_CENTER
Square: 0
Traingle: 1
Circle: 2
Cross: 3
L1: 4
L2: 5
L3: 8
R1: 6
R2: 7
R3: 9
Analog 1 Left: V
Analog 1 Right: M
Analog 1 Up: G
Analog 1 Down: B
Analog 2 Left: ALT_LEFT
Analog 2 Right: ALT_RIGHT
Analog 2 Up: SHIFT_LEFT
Analog 2 Down: SHIFT_RIGHT

-Next go back to option: Save Profile-->Save Profile As-->"My Profile 1"

3.2-GAMEPAD # 2 - Name "My Profile 2" (Edit Default config):
Option 2st Controller-->Edit Mappings

Left: A
Right: D
Up: W
Down: S
Select: ENTER
Power: DEL
Start: SPACE
Square: K
Traingle: O
Circle: N
Cross: L
L1: E
L2: R
L3: T
R1: I
R2: U
R3: Y
Analog 1 Left: A
Analog 1 Right: D
Analog 1 Up: W
Analog 1 Down: S
Analog 2 Left: LEFT_BRACKET
Analog 2 Right: RIGHT_BRACKET
Analog 2 Up: BACKSLASH
Analog 2 Down: SEMICOLON

-Next go back to option: Save Profile-->Save Profile As-->"My Profile 2"

FPse APPLICATION CONFIG:

1-GAMEPAD --> Assign HW buttons
2-Assign the keys for Gamepad 1 and for Gamepad 2 respectively
3-LOAD ISO-->PS1 Game
4-Enjoy the Multiplayer games in your Android device !

Hi guys i am new in the forum, and want to ask something about multiplayer gaming - if i have two devices with fpse on them can i play multiplayer game trough bluetooth? you know - everyone play on it's own device but the game is share.
i think nokia n-gage had that possibility few years ago.

Miro, fpse emulates a PlayStation. so, unless the original game could do that and you could somehow play games on two different playstations together, no you can't.

mm, you are right :) we played on same machine. and as i read, i can connect second pad to my xperia.
but the problem is in the size on screen :) so if the developers of fpse find a way to play multiplayer, but each gamer on different device (two devices) will be outstanding! :) am i right? ;)

All, just wondering if there's an update on how to achieve this on the latest versions of FPse and Sixaxis (11.81 and 0.6.1). I'm running this on a Samsung Galaxy Note II.

I've followed the instructions to the tee from above, however I'm at a standstill at the FPse configuration settings:
- Settings->External Gamepad->Gamepad Port 2 is always disabled, despite me trying to change it
Settings->External Gamepad->Gamepad Port 1 is set to 'Others'
- Any other parameters to be set?

What would help is if the other settings in Sixaxis can be given i.e.:
- What should be chosen in 'Change IME': Samsung Hardware Keyboard or Sixaxis Controller?
- Under Keyboard Emulation, should 'Bypass IME' be checked?
- I found through experimenting that 'None' should be selected for the profile
- Other parameters that need to be enabled

Thanks in advance!

Using a rooted HTC One M7 and stock rom.
After days of messing around with settings this is what worked for me:

-download and install the latest .zip of SuperSU for your phone.
-uninstall sixaxis if you have it already, then re-install so its fresh (default settings)
-run sixaxis and find your phone's bluetooth address, 12 character eg. XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
-download for your pc the pairing tool for pairing your ps3 controllers (these are the only ones I've tried)
-enter your phones address for each of the controllers that you plug in to you PC via usb
-Now open sixaxis, click start, then press the PS button on player one, wait for it to be recognised,
-Then click "Change IME" (below start) and select "sixaxis controller"
then press PS on controller 2 and wait for it to be recognised
-Go into preferences (3 dots top right) then gamepad settings and make sure "enable gamepad" is ticked.
-(leaving sixaxis running in background) open fpse and select the game you want to play.
-Then press any button (I use start) on controller one. Gamepad 1 and Gamepad 2 should show,
select gamepad 1
-Press any button on controller 2 and select gamepad 2.
-That's it

Additional stuff:
-to change what buttons on each controller do what, it will always be in the emulator NOT sixaxis
-For FPSE go into:
settings- gamepad- buttons mapping- Assign Hw keys fors Pad 1/2/3/4.
Tap on button listed then press on controller the one you would like it to be.

-Tekken 3 was really annoying me, then realised I had to go into versus,
it wouldn't let player 2 join from the arcade selection, so be aware of this in other games too!

:) Hope this helps someone. Loads of appreciation for both of these apps and their creators.
