It doesn't require anything special, just dig around in settings under misc like he said. The new modes are awesome! Thanks for the support. In the end a lot of apps didn't work on that particular headset I first posted about, I think the lenses were just the wrong size or placement or both. I'm using the BaoFeng Magic Glasses II (Storm II) from TinyDeal now (~$40 and still poor FOV compared to cardboard but comfy and good lenses if you can forgive the FOV). This does work in the GearVR too, but you need to be rooted to stop the gear service from auto launching, which I am not yet.

Thanks for the work on this mode! Easily my favorite VR app :)!

Okay I got it working :-) I had to uninstall it, then reinstall for the new settings to show up. I had just used the update button on Google play, but it took a complete re install. Hope this info helps someone else

about gear vr, no need to have a rooted device... just follow those instructions into section Running any app as vr_dual (without Oculus Home):

Thanks for the reply ! I should have mentioned this in case it works for others. I actually posted in that XDA thread a few times, but nobody could help me. I can't get it to work at all, I've tried this multiple times with to get your app working on Gear. Any ideas? I can replicate their instructions entirely, tried reboot, turn dev mode on and off and reboot, and the Oculus Home app still launches no matter what :(. Oh well.

Hi! Thanks for your reply, sorry for the delay in answering. I have version 0.5.2 of Oculus Home, after updating from 0.5.1. I tried all the steps again today, and re-did the scan for developer mode to make the toggle appear again - tried turning it on and off and rebooting a few times, no change :(.

Edit: Never got non oculus apps working in my gear, any ideas? Still on 4.2.2, maybe it'll work when T-Mobile pushes 5.0 (if I dare to try it :P).
