Should ISO compression affect compatibility?

Postby pd780c » Tue Oct 28, 2014 12:00 am

I have a game (WipEout) that only works when compressed with pocketiso, normal compression. If left as an uncompressed bin/cue or compressed by fpse to pbp, it freezes before showing the title screen. It has not been ripped from the CD, I extracted it from the EU PSN EBOOT that I own. I have done this with about a dozen other games, some multidic and all other discs seem to work fine.

No. I didn't realize there should be audio tracks. On further reading, it appears that when extracting the game from an EBOOT it is not currently possible to extract the audio tracks. Still it puzzles me that compressing with pocketiso stops the freezing problem. One of the other games I extracted should also have audio tracks, but havin the missing doesn't seem to cause a problem.

Can you tell me if you switch the cover menu to LIST mode how many tracks are printed for Wipeout?
