4 players on one Device

Hi everyone !
First of all, sorry if my question is silly, but i didn't find an answer on this forum.
I'm trying to play bomberman party edition on my JXD s7800B with 4 players, but i don't manage to make the multitap emulation work correctly.
Each time i activate none of my controllers work anymore.
So i got two questions :
first, i'm assuming that what i'm trying to do is possible, but I'm not sure. So is it ? ^^
Second, do you have any idea where this "controller not working at all with multitap emulation enabled" come from ?

After doing some tests, it appears that crash team racing is working. But not bomberman party edition.
That's a shame, this game is awesome ^^.
Is there any chance this might be fixed one day ?

ok just fixed bomberman ! will work for the new version i'm preparing to push.

when you ll select Multitap, choose port2. the device which host Game will emulate Player 2, and all others must be 1, ,3,4,5

this mean you can play up to 5 players!!
