Tablet doesn't support USB controllers?

Postby Ziggy Starman » Mon Jun 30, 2014 4:36 pm

Hello everyone.

I've been using FPSE for some time now on my LG G2 and Nexus 10 with great pleasure and I've always played with a Dual Shock 3 controller connected via USB OTG.

However, I recently bought a new tablet - a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to support gaming with controllers connected by USB.
I certainly can't seem to get FPSE to recognize that my controller is connected. Furthermore, I tried downloadingthe app Sixaxis Enabler to ccheck compatibility for my tablet, and sure enough, the app displayed a message saying that my tablet's software doesn't support controllers connected by USB.

What do I do? As far as I know, Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3 controllers can't be used over Bluetooth unless your device is rooted. Where does that leave me? I've looked into 3rd party controllers from Moga for example, but what guarantee do I have that they will work?

I hope you can help me - emulating classic video games has always been one of my prime uses for my tablets.

Try pasting the .kl & .kcm ps3 files from your LG G2 or Nexus 10

/system/usr/keychars
/system/usr/keylayout/

Vendor_054c_Product_0268.kl - ps3 controller
Vendor_045e_Product_028e.kl - xbox360 controller

You might also need the modules for your tablet which you can probably find in a cyanogenmod rom

- xbox360 support (xpad)
- PS3 USB gamepad support (hid-sony)
- PS2 USB gamepad support (hid-sjoy)
- Generic / chinese (Pantherlord / GreenAsia) gamepads support (hid-dr and hid-gaff)
