can not save to memory card

I have a problem here. I often use save state for each game I played, rather than save the game on memory card. This is my problem, I can't save game to memory card. This is where I got my problem :
- I have many save state for game (dw3) save state 1-5
- I save my game to memory card 1, then save the state on save state 2
- then I load state 1 where i haven't save the game to memory card, and play and play and play while saving the game state 1-5 (overwriting state 2 where I save game on memory card)
- then when I want to save the game to memory card, I can't save it. Both *.mcd 1 and 2. The game just freeze on the process when saving.
I want to save the game to memory card to use it on another devices.
Could some one help me?
