Fast forward in games

Hello,
I purchased FPse for android a couple of days ago after getting a new phone (Xperia Z).
Now the interface is pretty sweet and so are the controls. But as i happen to be an RPG fan one very important feature is the fast forward or speeding up the game. I used another emulator for this but it is quite inconvenient despite the fast forward being an easy to reach button

What i want to know is, does the android fpse have a fast forward button?
And if so, how do i use it?

Wow.. No offense but that is horribly impractical.
I use fast forwarding as a mean to cut down on battle times and leveling in rpgs. Keeping my finger on the middle of the screen for the duration of the fast forward kinda defeats the purpose of cutting its time don't you think? Plus it would block your view of the screen (in case of choosing action, moving and etc..)

Isn't there a way to toggle it on and off?
