cheats suddenly stopped working in xenogears after update!!

Been playing Xenogears for a while with cheats and they have worked fine before. I decided to go through it aagain and suddenly the cheat codes arent working!!! Anyone have any idea what could have caused this to happen. Using a galaxy s3 with 4.1.1 jellybean.
