Up d-pad constantly on

Hi, I know I mentioned this in another thread but thought it best to start a new one because this is happening on ALL games when the controller is set to digital.

When I push up once the button is continually activated. But if I change the settings to analogue it works perfectly.
Great if the game you are playing accepts analogue, but when trying Tomb raider 2 today the controller would only work on digital, which has my issue as described above. So then make it useless.

I know the controller is not at fault, so any suggestions would be great. If it's a simple case of set it to analogue for the analogue controller to remove this issue, then why will the tomb raider game not recognise the controller is attached to the device?

I'm using a nexus 7
