Does using PBP files hurt performance? Also FF7 sound issue

Besides obviously saving a lot of space, is there a performance difference between using PBP files and standard ISO files?

Also on my Galaxy Note 2 I cannot get FF7 to sound right for the life of me. SPUsync off or on the audio kind of lags and the clicking menu sounds are off.

Any ideas? Thank you!
