7z files

Postby no1lives4ever » Sun Sep 16, 2012 7:04 pm

I did a search and was unable to find any related topics, if there is something already out there feel free to delete the post and nudge me in the right direction.

I have the FPse emulator and have the appropriate BIOS (scph1001.bin), I uploaded FFVII and it's in a z7 file format, when I search for an ISO the emulator does not recognize the ROM. Is there a file conversion utility or some other tool I can use to get this to work?

Noob. I know. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

This isn't really a ff7 issue, more of a general issue with getting roms to work. You need to unzip the file before it can be recognised; try an app called androzip, it should be able to do the job. You should be left with either a .iso file or a .bin file.

It is not a compressed file from what I can tell, it will not give me the unzip or extract.

Can the mods move the threads or do I have to take this down?

I'm going to rename this thread and move it (if it will let me).

Use 'archidroid', download from market / google play.

No1lives4ever, if the file is .7z, .rar or .zip then it is a compressed file. If Androzip or the app bluezeak suggested don't work for you then you could transfer the file to a computer and use a program on windows to uncompress it, e.g. 7zip, winrar, winzip. Then transfer the uncompressed file back to your phone.
