I haven't been around for a long while, and I just saw the new OpenGL plugin. I haven't checked around in the forums yet, but I'm sure lots of people are talking about it.

What are your thoughts on the new plugin?

About ff9 settings (which I'm sure you figured out by now) - I can only tell you what works for me on my device. The settings I mentioned are the ones needed to make the graphics work correctly, not for performance. Also, posting your question in the game specific section may be better.

Lekd - the 'blitting' plugin is not the OpenGL plugin. They are both 'opengl' but 'blitting' and 'opengl' plugins are very different.

Updated main post. Added a bit of info for Broadcom chipset. Rearanged things to make at a bit more logical.

I welcome any comments as to how to make that main post more concise. It's almost too much information.

I know the main thing people want to know is "how do I get my game to work?!". Schrtuck's new system that he will release in the next update (or sometime soon) which will be a database of what setting work with what games should fix / help that.

If you read my post, you know that there are a lot of considerations for openGL.

What game are you trying to play? Did you check the game specific threads?

Can you use OpenGL to boot to bios?

Does FPSE work without OpenGL?

Exactly what issue(s) are you having? What error message(s)?

What configurations have you tried?

I haven't checked the note2 - do you know what chipset it uses? Is that a Mail400 chipset? There were a ton of isues with Mail, but I thought they were all resolved (more or less).

Are you using the latest version of FPSE?

My specific game is ff9 and xenogears.

Yes note 2 is using mali400 and I have read ur post that says it is now resolved. But still can't find the best settings.

Yes im using the latest version v1.11 113

And I have already use the opengl but it lags like hell

Xenogears does have some issues - or did. I haven't played it, and I'm not sure if Schtruck has implemented any special fixes. I know he did for FF8 (it works!).

FF9 - I'm not sure why you were having issues with that one. I thought that one was working decently well. The battle swirl is a bit slow ... and the outter world (specifically with the mist) is slow. For me it's payable but not great. But the graphics look SO good, it's impossible to go back.

The new software HD looks VERY promising. I haven't tested it yet on FF9 but I will soon.

Hi, i own a Sony Xperia ZQ (ZL for Brazil) and i cant play games with opengl.
FPSE crashs every time i try to change any video settings when set to opengl video mode.
in software mode the settings are ok, but the games are very pixelated.
