Iso folder in Ext card?

Postby ElD » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:15 pm

Typical noob question I guess! I have just got this on my galaxy s3 and the only complaint I have is that I cant seem to put my iso folder on the ex card that I have in the phone. When looking for iso's the only options I am getting is to store thgem on the phones 16gb card which is not to good! I am just missing somthing here it is easily done on snesoid and n64oid.

some devices actually have their sdcard in a folder named 'sdcard-ext'

I have a motorola droid bionic. Motorola tried to prevent issues with mounting and unmounting the external sd storage,so they partioned the internal storage and mounted part of it to a folder under /mnt/sdcard. to access the REAL sdcard I have to save files to /mnt/sdcard-ext.

I have all my fpse files (isos, mem cards, save states, bios) on the real sdcard, not the /mnt/sdcard. most devices aren't setup like mine though.

hope that answeres your question. once you know you may need to go to /mnt first it should be easy

You may need a third part file browser to be able to see the ext sd card..

I recommend file manager by Rhythm Software, and its free :-)

I have an S3 and the SD card is mounted as /mnt/extSdCard

Oh that's a point don't forget to format and mount the SD card if its the first time you are using it.
