Great App, but I'm confused

Postby rapps411 » Fri Jan 13, 2012 7:22 pm

Hey everyone,

first of all, this app is awesome! I love it. I've been having one problem though, loading the bios file. The app only gives me the option to load a bios file the very first time I open it. I've checked here and youtube for any kind of insight on it and I've noticed that every video/picture of the fpse menu I've seen is completely different from the menu I have. The menu I have is much more basic, not giving me the "bios loading" "country" "Mdec Acceleration" ect. options. The only options I have under the System Options are "Dual Core Boost" "Thread Priority" "Boost Mode" and "Autosave". I'm using the original EVO so I can't take a screen shot of it or I would show you. I've checked for updates on my phone (it's up to date), I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the same version shows up.

I hope you guys can understand what I'm trying to say and give me a little insight to what's going on.

Thanks for your time,
Dylan

The menu system has changed a lot in the last update, so any screenshots or videos you may see are out of date. I do intend on doing a full setup and explaination guide to fpse at some point.

As far as the BIOS is concerned, in this version you can only set it at start up, but once you do it's set. You can also set it when using OpenGL in the "misc" menu. But if you don't use OpenGl it isn't there.

Alright, thanks for the clarification. But in the misc menu there isn't a OpenGL option.

It's the Plugin menu under Misc.
If it's not there, update to the latest version!

So the latest version is suppose to have the basic look, and not the minimalistic look?
So it is suppose to look like the one in the attachment? I thought I had an error in my download.

But what about the options for "Country" "Mdec Acceleration" ect., cause I can't find them anywhere.

Also, another issue I have is that no skins for the overlay pad will work. When I try to use an external skin, and point to the .ini file the default pad disappears and nothing... I can only use the default skin and that is it.

Ah is that so.

Edit: Found the answer for which to change to .raw. .bmp into .raw using the BMP2RAW.exe

Prior, I was using my own image edit tool to change even the .png to .raw
