FPSE appears broken on Motorola Photon (Gingerbread)

Hi, I've been emulating for ages. I remember back in the day I used to have an AXIM X51V and spending everyday waiting for 0.1 to finally be released (my device was destroyed long before 0.1 ever came out). Never had a problem with the emulator back then, worked fine. Of course back then FPSECE was optimized for the x51v/x50v so it only makes sense.

Now, some years later, I have returned and bought FPSE on the Android market. FPSE does not seem to work at all on my Motorolla Photon (MoPho, which is 2-3 times more 'powerful' than my x51v). I have tried 7, yes 7, different bios files, 5 different games (ff7, ff9, Lunar 1, Star Ocean 2, MGS), every imaginable file format (.iso .bin .img .ppsomethingorother etc.) I've tried multiple sources for the same roms and different methods of format. I've even converted psp eboot formats to .bin based on rumors it might work. Tried all the settings. Nothing works. Nothing

Several different failure modes occur when I load the rom:

Most common is that it says "failed to load!!! ... something in the middle... contact the developer" also sometimes it says "no bios - HLE mode enabled" (even when there is a bios and I save default config) and then it will actually play the playstation logo and crash at the logo. Randomly every 100 tries or so it will sometimes play the very first second of ff9 (before the squaresoft logo) and then stall there with fps still counting but black screen. Now FPSE will just crash straight to the android app menu instead when I try to load a rom. I have tried every single possible combination of options in system, audio, and video. (sound off, hle, no hle, mdec accel, spu sync, filtering etc. etc.

Nothing works. I have tried more bios and rom formats than my 32gb card will hold!

To be fair PSX4Droid does not work either. Everytime I try to load a rom in PSX4Droid it crashes back to the rom select screen after a brief moment and I have tried all my roms and bios files there too.

I am at my wits end!!!! I have even used the same bios and rom files on pc emulators just to make sure they work, and they all do on the computer. Is there just some different architecture in the MoPho that is incompatible?

Help!

However, I have read reports of Photon users having no problems...

Is there a known good bios and a known good rom that someone could point me to that would ensure that it is not a rom/bios problem? Even though I'm sure it's probably not.

Ugh, figured it out, nothing to do with phone, roms, settings, or what not. It was a corrupted microsd card. Never buy them off ebay.
