Save / Load states

I used to have FPSE v0.09.6 on my android and I recently updated the app to the latest version after months without use. In v0.09.6 the save / load states used to work fine, now every time I try to load a state the app closes and brings me back to my launcher home, no force close.

I have tried to find a solution without success, is there a known workaround or should I try to find an old installer for v0.09.6? I hope I dont have to do this as the performance and stability seems to be improved.

While I have your attention When I try to run MGS I get a black screen past the menu screen. I know some of you guys are running the game successfully, what setting do I have to change to make it work?

Diablo 1 and FF VII are running flawlessly by the way, thank you for the fantastic app. 5 stars if the load states and MGS would be working!!
