Zip support would be great but its not going to give the same level of compression as when you rip CA Audio to mp3 tracks.

For example Ridge Racer compresses down to about 19MB when using Z compression and converting be cd tracks to mp3's. Zipped up its 386MB, so quite a large variation.

The thing is if Android doesn't like the audio tracks being MP3s then zip support would be much better because it would mean we could compress any image file instead of ONLY those without separate audio tracks.

I didn't the Z file support was a limitation imposted by the android OS itself?

But I certainly wouldn't be complaining if we got zip support :)

Yes, it's android. We used to have it with Windows Mobile, it was great, a perfect consistent never shuttering sound (even if the game is not fps-stable)

Gutting.. no point crying over spilt milk though I suppose, so onwards and upwards with the zip support :-)
