[Q] New Fpse user and a little overwhelmed

So, I just downloaded Fpse and was really excited about it. It was the main perk when I purchased my G2. Whenever I try to load a ROM (Final Fantasy Tactics in my case), I get a Force Close. I have tried multiple settings. In fact, I get a lot of force closes. Is this not compatible with a stock 2.2 G2? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I have a BIOS. I tried another one, just in case I messed mine up. But, after a couple of hours, I finally figured out what the issue was. I was using an ISO. In the help, it said that ISO was supported, but it wasn't working. I switched over to a .bin/.cue, and things started working beautifully. (btw, what does a .cue file do?)

But, back to my confusion, is there a list/description of what each option does both technically and practically?

Also, I have been trying to save the file path for both save states and the in game saves and whenever I navigate to the desired directory, there doesn't seem to be any option to set that directory as the one I desire. Any hints? Thanks again for the help.

Hello.

As far as setting the savestates path is concerned, you ave to navigate to the desired dir and then hit the back key on your device, and with a bit of luck it should remember it as the default dir for saving states.

And to second the previous query, I'd like to know more about the emu options, things like Mdec and Gte acceleration, boost mode.

Thanks for the reply, but I did what you said, as far as setting the savestates path, and it hasn't worked. I navigate to the directory I want, click back, and it still shows the old savestate path. Any other ideas/tricks?

Also, is there a way to select the path for the game saves (.mcd)?

One more thing. Be sure to load a game image first and then go to settins and try changing the paths.

Setting the paths doesn't work if no game is loaded (i.e. sticks to default).
You can safely save the config as default afterwards.

Let me know how this works out for you.
Cheers!
