Screen in small, overlay pad does not respond

i am using a new android tablet (notion inks adam) a tegra based device.

before the most recent update everything seemed to work fine, since the newest update i have come to realise that the overlay pad is looking a lot prettier (only on small screen) but doesnt respond to anything.

this pad disapears if you put the screen to 3/4 or full and the other pad works fine, if you modify teh pad on small screen to anything other than default they just dont show up, arent even drawn.

anyone any ideas? ive already tried uninstalling etc to no avail

Yeah I got this too on the Xoom, I thought at first it was a compatability issue with honeycomb and stopped using fpse. Then I saw a youtube video of someone using it on the Xoom and gave it another go, it was only until I put it into fullscreen mode and it reverted to the old style button overlay I realized there was an issue with the colorful button overlay.
