Every game i tryed with FPse on my streak just force closed the app, i bought and downloaded it from the market.

It should be more then powerfull enough to run the games i want to play on it (Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, Metal gear solid, Crash bandicoot and spyro)

but i need help there is noting i can do to get it to work at one point i did get it to run but it was bought out to the iso to load menu with a message flashing "FPse has exited try useing bios press menu, system load bios file save and retry" it flashs a couple of times and the phone is un-useable for a few seconds untill it stops.

I switched the FPse today after psx4droid was removed from the market place and after a update i lost the app..

this isn't a force close,If you have the bios message this mean FPse exit by it selft, it can be related to memory allocation limitation. Or just a problem with your ISO which isn't recognized by FPse.

To be sure, when you are in the loading screen, press menu, then system, and load a Bios file, then after in the bottom of the List option, save to default config.
Now exit, and retry to load you game, if you see the Two Oranges Triangle, this mean your ISO isn't recognized.


After that if it still exit without showing you the two triangle, you should try to see the Log file called fpselog.txt, placed in /data/data/com.emulator.fpse/files

but to do that, your Phone need to be rooted.

(i'll add the possibility to view the content of this file if FPse exit by itself, that will help the project)

I have my old bios file from PSX4Droid that worked and saved it as the default config.
Started up my iso of Final Fantasy VII Disc 1 and no 2 triangles but the screen is still going crasy and i have to wait for it to be useable or android to tell me its not responding and needs to be fc'd.
I will dump the log below.

hmm well i have my streak rooted and i went to look in the /data/ folder and that was empty so i just used ASTRO's search function to look for the log and it looked like it was never created?

Edit: tryed useing a diffrent iso and bios still no luck.

it seems your ISO format isn't well recognized by FPse...

What format are you using?

anyelse, i'm preparing an update, just wait somes minutes...

not sure what iso format it is when i ripped it off the disc (took ages the discs are olllldddd) it riped as a bin file so i had to go get a converter to change it to iso but it worked fine with psx4droid

Update: at one point i did mange to hear the start of the psone start up noise BUT it did fc 2 seconds later without showing any video. I also tryed various options in system sound and video. I did see someone else in the marketplace reviews someone else with a steak has it working.

If anyone could help you would have my thanks as i loved playing psone games on my phone and have already bought this one and id rahter not have that been in vein.

Fmvs working no problems
Sounds only the weird footstep noises i had on epsxe anyway everything else fine
Swtiching from portrate to landscape when emu is running works without crashing
Walking around not in battle - 60fps | No frame skip
(Left phone my on my desk whole thing locked up randomly XD)
On world map - 60fps
In Battles - 60fps

[Save states crashed on loading just leaveing the emulator hanging]
