And when approximately the new version leaves? What changes will be?

Xenogears seems to get stuck somewhere in disk 1 for me. The part where Fei has that flashback of himself playing with his mom or something. He sees the kid version of himself and it gets stuck at that point. Did anyone get farther then that point in the game?

About xenogears, cgi cutscenes are randomly crashing. Either skip it or savestate just before the cutscene then try again and again. I'm on cd 2 now :)

About sticky keys, I tried without frame skipping and frame limiter on, no boost, and it never happened... Don't know.
By the way, you guys are never using the frame skip or never turning off the frame limiter and never using boost mode????? What kind of phone do you use??? You play without sound???

@up

I don't use boost mode, because I don't know know it does ;). Now I don't use FS, because for me it's bringing back Sticky Keys :(

Maybe sticky keys are related to frameskipp on non-multitouch devices? I don't know...

Rotkaeqpchen wrote:Ok my dear Final Fantasy IX fans, I figured out how to make battles and menus as fast as the rest of the game. I played it yesterday and there was no slowdown, but today there was, so I tried out all settings and then, REBOOTED MY PHONE! Everytime I open up the settings menu, it will slow down again.

Here are my settings:
Bios 1001
mdec and gte and hle DISABLED
SPU sync on
Video Framelimiter on, no frameskip.

Thats it, I hope it helps you too!

No dice, just tried those settings (and rebooting), and I still get the same slowdown. Drops from a solid 60fps to a steady 49.

Ah! figured it out! The problem was Frameskip. I turned it off and I was able to get past the cutscene.

Some issues:
1. Is anyone else getting grey screens during ingame FMV scenes in FF8?
2. FF8 change disc issue: I loaded FF8 Disc 2, chose to load a memory-card save from FF8 Disc 1 and was prompted to change disc. Using the Eject option, I chose Disc 1 but got the "Wrong Disc" warning after loading. Reloading Disc 1 using Eject did not help.
3. Just to add to the countless feedbacks regarding Squaresoft games: Yes, major slowdowns when showing in-game menus.
4. The ingame FMVs/cut-scenes in Alone in the Dark: New Nightmare are not loading properly. The screen freezes with the FMV sounds playing and only resumes playability when the FMV ends.

Both games used were PAL, all playable on FPSE save for the issues mentioned above.

FPSE 0.10.10 config:
1001 bios, Mdec On, Gte On, HLE Off, Boost Off, Spu Sync On, Screen Filtering On, Framelimiter On, no frameskip, screen size 4/3 centered.

Hope you can fix these problems, schtruck. Thanks!
