The reason for audio lag is very likely a way too large audio buffer. I get the same audio lag with Snes9X-EX v1.5.8 as well. Fortunately, it allows to individually tweak that buffer making the lag nearly unnoticeable indeed. It uses abstracted values in the frontend (10 frames -> 3 frames audio buffer) whereas 3 is imho still not less enough but it greatly improves audio lag situation nevertheless.

I guess Snes9X runs at 30fps. So, by a 10 frames buffer (its default value) it produces 333ms additional lag. It feels like (and probably is) way more though in the end.

That lag is comparable to FPse. They feel identically (bad). I hope you can bring such a variable buffer to the frontend as well even though i'm not sure if you've already tried that with 'misc/audio latency level' and it just doesn't work properly yet...

6502-I find sound lag common with most android emulators. I think in some games its more noticable which is why some people don't notice it

radji- Does it mean play without bios file?
Video options don't fix the problem. As I said previous this is common on most emulators including on psp. It can be played on a caanoo ps1 emulator by decreasing cpu clock.

somes news.

i have fixed the opengl graphic problem with the snapdragon s4 pro. gfx are now clear and no more annoying and flickering texture arround the psx screen.

somesone with low end device was complaining about the fact thar since fpse 0.11.68 he was unable to play correctly. we worked together and we finally fixed the problem by modifying tye old frameskipping. he said it working now perfectly.

if someone with low end device would like to test this version just ask by email.

That's true indeed. I notice it in FPse, Snes9x and Mame4All as well. But as stated before there's a solution for it. I guess they all use audio class default values that are too conservative.

So if I understand "old frameskip/drawer" is for ARMv6 devices and default (software mode) is for ARMv7 newest devices? whats the difference? the "old xxx" have worst quality for better performance or what? :geek:

Well schtruck told me "in opengl it's a known bug, in SOft mode you don't have it."

I just have no idea what softmode is and my google searches have turned up nothing.

So the new sound latency options are nice.... I think one of the biggest problems with sound though is a very noticeable lag in the audio of FMV sections, even running on my Note II.

With the Note II I've actually set sound latency to 512 with no noticeable issues, but the lag in FMV audio is still unchanged.

How can i enforce aspect ratio in landscape mode? I mean there are neither 16:9 PSX games nor 4:3 Androids. Also 'enforce portrait mode' is still missing.
