How do I switch to the Fast Audio Plugin? SPUsync is the only option available in the sound menu.

you Stay pressed onto game icon then audio and fast audio plugin then restart fpse

you'll see differences in quality, and speed, but i don't know about Click in sound.

Ok guys just before the week end a new version to play store!

FPse 0.11.166:
- Boosted OpenGL high definition plugin
- new option to add Manually scan storage path, from MISC and PATH menu
- Fixed Blackscreen when autosave set
- Fixed OMAP and SGX540 opengl bug
- Fixed German language crash
- Other minor fixes

the New add scan path let you add a new mounted point like external Drive or Network drive.

Enjoy!

Updated to 0.11.166. Sound skipping got way worse. Switched to the fast audio plugin. Sound skipping got even worse. I tried converting the FF9 image from iso to bin/cue to see if that helped. It didn't. Sounds still skips horribly regardless if the video mode is on OpenGL (HD or Soft Advanced) or software decoding.

Not sure what else could be causing the issue.

Things get worse is not due to new version ... i m sure you re facing thermal trottling. Have you got a snapdragon?

if my device is already warm and i run fpse the cpu run at 1199mhz and even less on my note4...

When cold and run fpse i can play many minutes without trottling problem.

The screen brightness accelerate the problem if set to high... device get warm very quickly.

On nvidia proc... qualcomm before s600 and exynos trottling exist but happen much less oftenly

Yes, my HTC M8 uses a Snapdragon.

Wouldn't it cause throttling of he video as well? The video actually looks very good. Never skipping or stuttering.

I would expect thermal throttling to happen after playing for some time, but when I start the game, my device is not warm so there should not be any throttling.

It does not. But I played with the audio settings. I got the distortion/skip down low by disabling enhanced audio interpolation and setting audio latency to 45. Any higher and the distortion comes back, any lower and it makes the game run slow.
