I didn't change anything in settings since last version. In gl boost menu I have "very fast" but switching it to "normal" doesn't change anything.

Try this:

get plugins from http://www.fpse.net/plugins247.zip

Rename them to fpseplugins.zip and move it to /sdcard then reset settings and restart fpse .

If it doesn t work try the same but with plugin250.zip

Let us know

yes please try 250 too, i need to know if it's a ARMv7 detection error.

After if you can try with plugins250.zip and plugins250v7.zip, let me know results please

and last, please run a game then close the task fpse then run fpse another time, it will create a crash log into /sdcard/fpsecrashlog.txt ,please send me this file.

plugins250.zip and plugins250v7.zip causing force close, I cannot attach the log file besause of it's extension.

Had to leave it on OpenGL HD mode. OpenGL soft mode would cause game to freeze when going from ingame movie to gameplay. Graphics were also very pixelated in OpenGL soft mode.

No change in sound, it still crackles in and out no matter what the latency settings are.

(running FF9 on HTC M8; Android 5.0.1)
