Low FPS with scph1001

Postby jago » Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:20 am

I have discovered that when using the scph1001 bios I get lower fps than using the PAL scph7502 bios, at least when playing FF8. I get roughly the same fps whith the PAL bios as I get when not having a bios at all. And what bios does the FpseCE use when you havent put one in the bios folder?

Did you specify the bios name change in the ini file? If not, it will revert back to the HLE and therefore will run the same speed as no bios.

you mean realy ? more FPS ?
i´m just looking for more options for speed improvement. Would different BIOSes make any difference ?
Let´s try, downloading scph7502 now...
how many BIOSes are out there ?

it is true that the bios does make a slight difference in speed. on the ipod touch 2g psx4iphone ran best with the 7502 bios by a few frames. i haven't tried it on fpsece yet because i didn't really feel the need to. on the ipod touch 2g i only got about 20-30 frames with frameskip it was nothing near playable so i gave up on it. but i think the frames will be worth it here so i'll do a bit of testing.
