Omnia 2 compatibility ? ( virtual pad )

Postby knight » Sat Nov 07, 2009 8:21 pm

Hello ! 8-)

I have an Omnia 2 ( Samsumg I8000 ), it's a touch screen without keyboard, so can I use Fpse?

I had install fpsece v0.96, it works, games start, but I can't configure the virtual pad, I don't understand how does it work?

Thx for help.

( Sorry for my bad english, I'm french :D )

You can't configure the virtual pad? You should be able to assign controls to areas of the screen, for touch control.
Alternatively, and altogether more suitably, you could purchase a gamepad for use with this.
There are links for peoples' gamepad preferences all over these boards. Just do a little hunting and I'm sure you'll find them.

Thx for your anwsers, I had configure the "on screen mapping joypad".

@tony, I can't have the menu in landscape, but the schema of the telephone ( to configure joypad ) looks as lanscape mode.

But for now, I have an other problem, when i launch a game, this application crash :/

I'm now searching for a working version of FPSEce for my omnia 2.

thx ;)

Check the FastBoot option (usually OFF is better) , and the gfx drivers (VGA I suppose?)

Ok I'll try this.

I had install a version patched of the 0.9.6, and it works, but only with GFX driver : GDI, but it's very slow! I have 10 / 20 fps max, but it's really slow...

-With VGA, it starts and work ( with really good fps ! ), but only in portrait, but I have to be in landscape mode to play with the virtual pad, when the game go in landscape mode, I have a black screen  .

-An other big problem, I can't quit FPSEce when a game is launched, I have to reboot my OMNIA 2, it's borring.

Thx for help ;)

you must assign "menu" to a hardware button so that you can call the menu and then quit

Yes, but I don't have a free bouton to set the menu on.

But my first problem is the VGA mode, why have I a black screen in full screen?

because 0.9.6 can't support such a big resolution
