Spyro Year Of The Dragon Entire Program Closes

This game was working fine until recently. Basically, in my game file, I had just bought Sheila, and as soon as that happened, the game closed, and since then, every time I've tried to load that save the entire FPSE program closes and I get sent back to my android screen.
In this save, I had collected all of the coins in the first hub and had completed one world, and the game works perfectly fine if I start a new game, however I'm loathe to, as I don't want to put more time in if this bug is always going to happen and render the save unusable.
Any idea what's going on?
