There was an update today, maybe this fixed that issue?

I too am experiencing new problems with Final Fantasy IX, since this latest update.

Once in game, I cannot see my HP/MP fields. If I pull up the Menu system it is not visible there, just blank HP/MP fields yet I can see equipped items, abilities and everything else. While in combat, the HP/MP fields are replaced by transparent blue squares.

Anyone know what's going on?

I too have been having a weird problem .. out of no where the attack menus have disappeared and it is doing it on the same ISO and all the updates that it previously worked on (I went back and reinstalled the old versions hoping that it would go back to working as it previously had)

Anyone else experiencing this and solved the problem ?

I use frameskip (it was the only way it was playing) but not boost. Not even sure what boost does exactly.

I'll give it a go without framskip.

I've issues with sound and performance altogether with this game. Anyone figure out specific settings or a way to get better performance with this game? It's unplayable as it is now.

Hope the developer can make some more updates soon... anyone know if the "donate/rip off cause I PURCHASED alrdy" version plays this game any better?

Final Fantasy 9 disk 3

I have tried everything to get around a crash at the end of the invincible fmv on disk 3 (the one where zidane saves dagger from falling) and nothing works. There are slight graphical errors during the fmv (coloured flashes) and then it cuts out after.

Has anyone either got to this part and experienced the same or managed to get past it.

I have tried transferring my mem card over to epsxe on the pc but I cant seem to get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am using the NTSC-U rom.

Cheers

FFIX menu slowdown.

So you're all probably aware of this problem.

Get full 60fps in the game, but when the combat stats menu pops up it drops to around 40fps. Press Square to hide it and it goes up to 60 again.

Any solution for this?

it's related to texture windows emulation which is more complicated to emulate than a simple texture... there is surely somes optimisation for this part... i'll take a look.
