Hello, so I've got FFIX on my HD2, and while I'm having no issues with freezing, or black screens, I have a problem with the battle menu not showing up at all. Obviously with a final fantasy game this is a pretty big issue that i'd love to see fixed. Any help you guys could provide would be mucho helpful.

PS i do work for t-mobile so I can provide some one on one tech support in exchange for the same services with FPSEce. I truly just started looking into this a few weeks ago and I am flying blind. Any assistance someone could give in exchange for my services would be truly apprechiated!

T tried enableHLE = off, but in my fpsece.ini it was already the case.
Please give me antoher way to fix the save problem. I can buy fpsece complete version but it can only solve my problem tempararly, because Ican't change cd when I will finish the first.

I don't know what you mean ?
I'm using free version of this soft, this one you can download in this site.
Normally, I can save in the game wtih the regular way to save depend on the playstation game. For FF9 the savestate is corrupted, so I red that I have to modify the fpsece.ini by changing enableHLE = on, to off.
But it was already the case in my ini file, so I don't know how to solve this problem. I just want to save normally as I do for FF7, with this version.
I don't want to buy the supporter version, exept if the speed is increase or there are a lot of improvement, but as I know, there is just the savestate in addition to the free version...
If you have any solution ?

leemon:
You said the BIOS was ok in the .ini?
It does appear in the .ini, but do you have a BIOS in the BIOS folder at STORAGE CARD/PROGRAM FILES/FPSECE/BIOS.

Without this you will get corrupted save games when trying to load.

If you've not got a BIOS, put one there. Search for one. Delete all your FFIX config to be sure, turn HLE off in fpse.ini and restart FFIX.

EDIT:
I just re-read everything, I may of misunderstood. Something you could try is opening the fpselog and reading if it switches to HLE, it will if it can't find a BIOS.

I'm not sure to understand all of that.
For the version in the download section (the free version), all of that stuff are not included ?
But it's the 0.1 version no ? The last ?
The savestate is not the only difference ?
I'm sorry, I speak english but I'm french, and sometimes some technical things are difficult to understand.

Ok, I have found a fix to all my Tmo Hd2 problems. Maybe they can help others.

Battle menu not showing up: I found out that if I load state or just press the square button then the menu can be toggled on and off.

During Battle it clicks attack for you with giving you a option: I just went and changed the stay down pressed setting to one press in the controller option. Fixed it.

Graphic Bug with Glitches showing up: I found that if I load it using the regular memory card savestate it usually fixes this.

Hi I've red all this topic but I didn't find answer to this simple question:
what I must do to turn on sound in cutscenes but don't have it during the game?
If someone have a problem with not having battle menu during battle switching off frameskip will help (at least it helped me ;) )

Hello all,

I run FF9 on a acer neotouch everything running very fine except that characters (not backgrounds) appear very aliased/pixellised !!
I don't have this problem with other games and the youtube demo I see don't have characters with so much aliasing/pixellisation of characters
I also spotted that pad widgets seem to be deformed a little which is not the case when i come to the part where you must type your name

I tried a lot of different things (not compressed iso, change from directx to gdi , deactivate full screen etc...) nothing work

Thank a lot for your help
