Final Fantasy 9 help

hi, i recently just purchased fpse on android market and im playing ff9 atm, but it lags during battle mode is their any fixing? im playing it on the sony tablet but every other game is running fine haven't tested ff7 but legend of dragoon plays absolutely perfect except the saving issue but i can save in game instead of anywhere. I googled all the help on ff9 problem but all i came across was editing kernal or something build.prop but i dont know what that is or how to even get there. Basically a total noob if someone can help me i would dearly appreciate it thanks and awesome job on FPSE EMULATOR
