Casper not working

hey guys,

I'm trying to play Casper. The game runs perfectly with fs on, but the only problem is it wont load any rooms other than the hall you start in. If I try to go up the stairs or into another room, the loading bar comes up and almost fills, then an error message pops up saying spu timeout, status:7.

Any ideas on how to fix this??

I have had this problem for a very long time, it happens with every emulator I try, not just FPSE, have you had any luck with it yet?
