Having trouble getting blood omen to work on here. So far ff7-9 work great also ive played croc, army men, time crisis, gex, and resident evil 2 with no problems. The screen just goes black and then exits out of FPse. Any help would be great if you got this game to work. Its a bin file btw.

I too am having an issue with Blood Omen, I start the game and the dialogue between Kain and the Barkeep freezes when Kain halfway between Kain saying "Coorhagen" and then rewinds to the beginning of Kain's bit of the dialogue, including the old tape rewind sound effect. I apologize as I am not using a windows mobile device, but I searched the forums and found this posting.

wow, that's really weird. I've not heard of anything like that. this issue from the first post is something that usually happens with a bad rom / iso. your issue - is not one I've ever heard of. it works ... but then the mdec / video play backwards / rewinds?? so weird. Can you skipi it? you could try another rom / recreate the rom...

Unfortunately I cannot skip it as it is right before you take control of the character, and I have tried a few different roms from different websites. The looping continues until I close the app, the sounds even continue in the menu and the help section. The same roms run fine on the emulator on my pc.

well, not a rom issue then. do other games work ok? have you tried switching to the opengl plugin (or if you're using opengl, use the softgpu)?

have you tried reinstalling fpse? if you have any saved games in memory cards, or save states, be sure to backup fpse first (menu, misc, backup). it saves it to /sdcard/fpsebackup. I recommend you not restore it. instead, I recommend you copy the memory card and save state folder to another location (with a file manager program like 'astro'), then after you reinstall fpse go to menu, misc, mem card (and save state) to point to the location where you copied the files to.

I have fixed the issue, apparently it was a bad bios. I thank you very much for your help. Your speedy response is much appreciated.

I fixed the issue by shutting off sound and switching framelimiter off & mono core on. But i've run into a really annoy freeze just when I get to the circle cut scene. I've tried every bio I can find, every rom i can find, & every configuration! Did you get past this? I'm on a samsung galaxy s2 and even tried the openglide... So said, it's one of the best games ever! Any help or suggestions?

if you get to a part that the emulator just can't handle, I recommend trying a different emulator - like epsxe on pc.

backup your memory card save (must be memory card, not save state) from inside fpse - menu, misc, backup. saves to /mnt/fpsebackup. plug your phone in to your pc, and copy the memory card to your pc. get past the part that was giving you issues. save. copy the memory card file back to your phone. I recommend you put the save in a different location on your phone that fpsebackup folder. then, in fpse go to menu, misc, select memory card, and browse to the memory card file.

Thanks! I'll try it. I first have to figure out where it stores the .mcr file initially on the phone. That was a good idea! When playing ps1 games on my hacked psp and there'd be a freeze (there really bad one in chrono cross with mama komodo) I'd take the save over to my ps3 and play past it and transfer back. Decided to try this emulator out because this phone runs faster than my psp (1001 fat) really shows when playing Wagic (should check it out if you're a magic fan.)
