Tomb raider 3 three-button actions

In Tr3, some three-button actions are essential. In particular, there's a running-fast-roll, activated by running (pad up held) then sprint (r2 held simultaneously) and tap roll (circle). It seems I can't that - it only lets me hold two buttons simultaneously such that I have to release one to press roll. I'm guessing this may be a limitation of multitouch on the phone (? HTC desire hd, Android) judging by the multikey setup option. However I can't see how to get this to work - it's not just pressing three buttons together, but stage by stage altering more buttons in a sequence.
