I find turning spusync off gives best audio in a lot of games. So far I only needed to use it in medal of honor

I get this same problem with my JXD601 no matter if I use the get from internet option or locate the file from my SD card.
I just assumed it wasn't a compatible option though

try booting to the bios screen and going to memory card to delete the files.

are you using JXD with Skelrom? If so you need to revert to the original JXD key layouts.
Copy them from the extras folder to the system-usr folder

try a,different bios. I had this when i used a us bios with a pal game

Tried some multi disc eboots again and they still don't work. Just brings a memory error.

I do intend to try them again but at the moment I can't remap my controls correctly. O brings up the menu and [] is acting like a direction.

Just realised even though I am using a JXD S601 it is displayed on the android market as xperia.
I think this is something to do with the rom I am using for the device.
