Try what bluezeak said, otherwise you need a rooted phone to access the files which are located at "/data/data/com.emulator.fpse/files/"

I don't think there is much that can be done about corrupt saves, they can still happen just like the PS1 but the update shouldn't have corrupted your saving, as far as I'm aware the memory card system doesn't appear to have been altered.

I had that problem but I believe you don't need to assign hardware keys, it should work out of the box if you connect it wirelessly through the sixaxis app.

Open the settings, go on game pad, go on overlay pad and there should be something like "set or unset buttons", enable all buttons that are missing. They have been separated in the recent versions.

I've read your.post a few times but I can't figure out what problem you're having, so games not boot? Are settings not being saved? If games boot where do they crash?
